PDP factions submitted two lists for Ogun LG polls — OGSIEC

ABEOKUTA—THE Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission, OGSIEC, yesterday, disclosed that two factions of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have submitted separate lists of candidates for the forthcoming local governments election in the state. The commission, however, said it would screen the two factional lists. Chairman of the screening committee and member of the Commission, Mutiu Agboke stated this at the councillorship screening exercise held in Abeokuta. Agboke said 17 political parties would be contesting the October 8, local government election in the state. He said, “We have so many court judgements with us, they are not contradictory. They are judgements on different issues and we are not the Court of Appeal to decide on which judgement is superior to the other.”
